My work explores the use of storytelling, imagination, and creative practice as a tool towards sovereignty and liberation.

I am a multidisciplinary storyteller and community builder. My work spans across film, writing, digital media and community gatherings, facilitating storytelling as an archive. I explore identity, and lived experiences, including my own African diasporic lens.  I gravitate towards narratives dissecting the juxtaposition between visibility and invisibility, survival and sovereignty, isolation and collective care. I create work grounded in emotional honesty. A vital aspect of my practice is intentionally creating a space for African voices. 

I am intrigued by the use of artistic expression within collective healing, by creatively and radically restructuring Black women’s narratives; fostering a future that exists beyond labour, performance and survival. Whether through film, conversation, writing or gathering, my intention is to create spaces that allow people to feel seen, held and connected to themselves and one another.

I am the founder of Beautiful Beings In Colour, a digital storytelling platform and the founder and lead facilitator of  Beautiful Circles, an intentional community space.
